In short: we use your details to process and deliver your orders, we never sell them, and you can ask to see or correct them at any time.
Who we are
The WoodCare Company is a trading name of SeekFirst Ventures Limited (NZBN 9429053087621), based in Auckland, New Zealand.
What we collect
We collect your name, email, phone number, and delivery and billing addresses, along with your order history and any messages you send us. For trade customers, we also collect business details. Our website collects usage information through cookies. We don't see or store full card numbers, because payments are handled by our payment provider (Stripe).
How we collect it
Mostly we collect information directly from you, when you order, create an account or contact us. Sometimes we receive it from someone else, for example when a business refers you to us.
Why we use it
We use your information to process, deliver and support your orders, keep invoices and business records, and give you product and safety information. We'll only send you news or offers if you've agreed, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We only share what's needed with the services that help us run the business: our couriers (Post Haste, and specialist carriers for Paramose), our website and payment platforms (Wix, Stripe), accounting (Xero), email and file storage (Microsoft 365), and software tools that help us connect these systems to manage orders and customer records. Some of these providers store information on servers outside New Zealand. We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
We keep order and invoice records for seven years, as required by NZ tax law. Other information is kept only as long as we need it.
Your rights
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing us at info@woodcarecompany.co.nz. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
